Privacy Policy

Golfmark ("we", "us") is a peer-to-peer marketplace for secondhand golf equipment in South Africa. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Waitlist signups. When you join our waitlist we collect the email address you provide so we can contact you about early access and launch updates.

Usage & analytics. We collect anonymous and pseudonymous usage data — pages viewed, referral source, device/browser type, and on-page interactions (such as scroll depth and which calls-to-action you click) — to understand how the site is used and improve it.

We use PostHog for product analytics, which sets cookies to recognise returning visitors and measure traffic and engagement. We also use Vercel Web Analytics, which is privacy-friendly and does not use cookies to identify you.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so may affect how the site functions but will not prevent you from using it.

We use the information we collect to:

• send you waitlist and launch communications you've signed up for;
• understand traffic and how features are used so we can improve the product;
• diagnose errors and keep the site secure and reliable.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run Golfmark — including Clerk (authentication & waitlist), Resend (email delivery), PostHog (analytics), Vercel (hosting), and our database provider — each of which processes data on our behalf under their own safeguards.

Under POPIA you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may opt out of marketing communications at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email matt@golfmark.co.za.

We may update this policy as Golfmark grows. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above. See also our Terms of Service.
